So glad I spotted the title of this post as I...Wow. So glad I spotted the title of this post as I was visiting your blog for other reasons. When I saw your title I just knew I had to read this. And what you wrote is even richer and more amazing than I was expecting!

My head's swirling with things I want to say in reply. But there's so much here to talk about, I can feel how much I need to process this first. I've decided to print out this post and keep it tucked in my journal, processing via journaling bit by bit.

But while I'm here . . . I have not read the book you refer to (though I've heard of it many times over the years). I've sometimes been curious about reading it, but as I read your examples from it, I realize I must have picked up on it psychically without needing the book. I've been on this same journey.

Two examples. One is about how animal totems have helped me sharpen my intuition incredibly. Once I started purposely becoming aware of the signs I was getting and started seeking the messages, I had more and more visitations from animals who had specific wisdom to share with me in specific situations. (I look up the message online but mostly in a book called Animal Spirit Guides. It's a second-layer exercise in intuition to discern which of the palate of messages is meant for me in that moment.)

In fact, guess what? Robin was the very first totem animal I ever worked with. I meditated on a picture of Robin and asked her to help me increase my self-belief. It really worked!

Interestingly, I had a Robin encounter yesterday while riding my bike . . . but I forgot to look up the messages after I got home. But, whenever I forget, I always get a reminder, often in a different form or setting. This time it came in the form of . . . a blogging award this morning from A robin's View!

As if that wasn't uncanny enough, when I googled Robin totem animal just now to check on the message, I was reminded that you and I met when you came to my travel blog. You left a comment on a post that contained a story about an animal totem (Horse) that showed me in no uncertain terms I should stop doubting myself and just BE a travel blogger!

http://milliverstravels.com/2011/06/travel-writers-notes

Whew. I'm wiped out. Can't give much detail re that second example. It was going to be about women and anger. I just set boundaries with someone (after giving lots of chances, info and warnings) by cutting off the sustenance I was supplying to the relationship. I knew I needed to do that, but some lingering guilt about not being "nice" has been bothering me. Your post really helps!

Thanks a million for writing this, Robin. Off to print it now - one copy for my journal and one for a special folder where I store Keepers.Milli Thorntonhttp://twitter.com/fearofwritingnoreply@blogger.com
